BREAKING: Fox News hosts scold JD Vance for the crime of pointing out a war might go badly
The MAGA machine is now so committed to war with Iran that Fox News is publicly scolding the Vice President for the sin of thinking out loud about the consequences.
On Saturday’s Big Weekend Show, co-host Tomi Lahren rolled a clip of JD Vance on Joe Rogan’s podcast warning that escalating in Iran could trigger a refugee crisis and spread terrorism, using the collapse of Libya as his example. Vance’s crime, apparently, was making sense.
Because here is the funny part. Lahren agreed with him. “I don’t disagree with the vice president there,” she said, before pivoting to complain that she was “perplexed” he said it at all. So the argument was correct, she just wishes he had kept his mouth shut.
Fox contributor Marc Thiessen piled on with the same logic, agreeing with Vance’s actual point while scolding him for making it. Vance “seems to be going off base a lot and contradicting the president,” Thiessen sniffed, insisting the VP “should be backing the president, not contradicting him in public.”
Read that back slowly. Two Fox voices looked at the Vice President warning about a potential war disaster, admitted he might be right, and concluded the real problem is that he said a true thing where people could hear it.
This is the entire MAGA foreign policy in one segment. The goal is not to figure out whether a war is a good idea. The goal is to cheer for Trump no matter what, and anyone who pauses to ask a question, even the Vice President, gets told to sit down and clap along.
